COVID-19 Awareness and Preparedness

  • Promote good respiratory hygiene, ensure that surgical face mask and paper tissues are available at your workplaces for those who develop a runny nose or cough at work-along with closed bins for hygienic disposal of them.
  • Promote regular teleworking across your organization, if there is an outbreak of COVID-19 in your community, the health authorities may advise people to avoid public transport and crowded places. Teleworking will help your business keep operating while your employees stay safe.
  • Consult national travel advice before going on business travel
  • Advice those who are sick to stay at home

  8. While overall levels of awareness and preparedness for the COVID-19 pandemic were deemed adequate, a study of healthcare professionals in 57 countries indicated that there were notable disparities in these levels between groupings of healthcare workers and nations.
    It is essential for healthcare personnel to be aware of and prepared for COVID-19 in order to lower the risk of transmission in hospitals and maintain their safety. Policies for the existing pandemic and potential future outbreaks of other diseases must take into account the level of knowledge and readiness of healthcare professionals.
